Seasonal workshops provide opportunities to focus on specific skill sets useful in developing year round Therapeutic Horticulture programs and activities. Ann Kent HTM and Dr Aimee Taylor provide continuing education opportunities for those who already work in TH and related fields and for members of the general public interested in exploring horticulture, floral design, and botanical crafts in a lively, hands-on environment. Workshops are usually two or three hours long and an effort is made to group two on one day for the benefit of those who travel from distant points in the Fraser Valley or Vancouver Island to attend. For information about Therapeutic Horticulture workshops available in Spring 2012, please contact Ann at horticulture@catkingardens.ca Professional Development in Horticultural Therapy in BC: Customized training Ann travels to various locations in BC to provide on site education and staff training for Horticultural Therapy and Therapeutic Horticulture, including workshops on Therapeutic Garden Design that are particularly helpful for complex care facilities, hospitals, and rehabilitations centres.
